Here are a few things that happened during the week.... Explosions!!!
Titanfall Alpha Weekend
This weekend a few lucky people were able to get a special code to download an early version of Titanfall. EA has sent out the codes to some Battlefield 4 players as an apology to those that are having problems with the game. The Alpha test was only on the Xbox One.
Right now it would be a great idea to click this link and sign up for any information on future Titanfall news. The game is coming out in march for the Xbox One, PC, and 360.
Rockstar Cracks Down on GTA V Cheaters
This week GTA Online week down for a 24 hr period for "maintenance". What Rockstar was doing was rooting out the cheaters and banning them. Rockstar updated their news blog with an release detailing "We will continue to issue title updates on an ongoing basis to counter the negative impact this has had on gameplay, and as part of today’s maintenance period, we are removing the counterfeit GTA$ from the game's economy. Anyone who innocently received GTA$ as a result of these exploits but did not engage in cheating to acquire it will not face any further action - the funds will just be removed, and you'll be able to keep any items you currently own."
If some players are lucky they won't be banned, just placed into a cheaters pool. Stuck forever playing with the cheaters of GTA Online- "Those who actively engaged in cheating and exploiting the game in this manner will, however, be subject to in-game penalties at our discretion. This may include being placed in isolated cheater pools or banned from GTA Online altogether."
So hopefully you weren't apart of any of this cheating. Rockstar asks that if you witness any cheating please report the player under the offensive player option in the pause menu.
Update on Hello Games
On Christmas Eve the offices of Hello Games was destroyed by flood waters. The developer of Joe Danger lost everything including dev kits, computers, and more. Just this week Hello Games posted on their blog an update on the company. Stating that they are down but not completely out of developing games, Hello Games will continue. Taken from the blog are a few of the questions that have been brought up.
Where’s Hello Games at right now?
Everyone assembled over Christmas and we’ve been working super hard since. Right now we have set ourselves up at a new temporary (cramped!) location. Some of us are working from home. We’ve filled a couple of dumpsters with our old stuff, and built ourselves a make-shift post-apocalyptic set of workstations – but we’re back, full speed!

Over the next few months we expect to be in a nice new office, or to rebuild our old one better than ever.
It feels like that moment in a film, where the heroes are down, but not defeated. They are scattered across the world and they have to rebuild. Our next few weeks/months are going to be a training montage and running across mountains. Quick Cut! Dave’s punch dancing. Quick Cut! Hazel’s firing an arrow at a target… getting closer. Quick Cut! Alex has nunchucks in silhouette on a mountain peak. You get the idea. BE EXCITE.
Will this delay No Man’s Sky?
We won’t let that happen!
We won’t let that happen!
At times recently I’ve wanted to be depressed, to wallow, but it’s impossible surrounded by this team. They are literally unstoppable. If we’ve lost some work, we’ll make up the time. We’ll steal dev-kits. We’ll work on a boat. Whatever it takes (not actual stealing… maybe :)
Are you going to do a Kickstarter?
I like Kickstarter, and I love what it stands for (all my Xmas presents were Kickstarter pledges). Financially I guess it’d probably be a really good time for us to do one, and so many people have suggested it. I just don’t think it’s the right thing for No Man’s Sky right now though, and we’d probably rather not eat than do the wrong thing for this game.

If people buy our Joe Danger games then that does support us. We’d rather you buy Joe Danger because you want to play them though… they are real good games :)
So please lets all support this developer by buying Joe Danger games. It will help with the development of No Mans Sky.
